1) These super cute embellished prefold diapers from Four Green Monkeys on etsy! They would definitely make a great gift for any sassy mama’s you may know! (hint)

2) Today’s beautiful warm sunny weather after almost a week of clouds and rain.

3) It’s Thursday! Which is one day closer to the weekend than Wednesday.

4) Staring at the teeny weeny sandals my mom sent for the baby. . . even though they will fit him in January when there is snow on the ground, it’s the thought that counts.

5) Das Piper is feeling better and is therefore MUCH less grumpy than he was been the last week.

The sandals were so supercute I couldn’t resist. I was fully aware they were completely frivolous and he may never end up wearing them. (Ok just once, long enough for the Maestra – that would be me, the cool grandmother – to take a picture.)

What is a Pocket Buddha?

The pocket Buddha is a talisman, whether the pocket is in our mind or our jeans, the pocket Buddha is there to add a touch of Zen to our lives. He smiles from his dark penny and used tissue filled abode and reminds us simultaneously to go with the flow of our lives and to keep our goals, hopes and dreams ahead of us. At least one moment everyday, the satisfaction of a project completed, the taste of a meal we managed to make without burning, the extraordinary patience we somehow managed to show in the most frustrating of times, the pocket Buddha throws us a pocket-lint sized piece of nirvana, and for that I am very grateful.
