I didn’t set out to write a ‘mommy blog’. I started blogging years ago, but it wasn’t serious. Blogging was my semi casual 3am drunken booty call. A place for me to rant and rave and say things I thought to be very smart and funny; if only to find out the next morning that it was just the beer talking and I am neither smart nor funny.

When I became pregnant with Oliver I found that if I took a few moments to record my quiet moments of reflection, or sudden realizations about life, parenthood, and other related things I could actually write things that other people may be interested in reading. What’s more, there were many others who blogged to record similar experiences in relation to their own lives and I was interested in reading what they had to say.

So after dabbling in the blogosphere for a few years I came to love the creative platform, the community, and the fun that blogging brings. I now write as regularily as possible about my experiences as a first time mom to my son Oliver.
